Amy Shane LCSW, CADC
Welcome! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Illinois and Montana, and specialize in attachment & relational trauma, eating disorders, substance use disorders and anxiety. I have experience working alongside patients in inpatient programs as well as PHP/IOP treatment programs treating eating disorders, substance use disorders and co-occurring disorders. For individuals working on improving their relationship with food and body image, I practice solely through a Health At Every Size (HAES) approach.
My personal and professional journeys allow me to work alongside patients to build a trusting and authentic partnership in the therapeutic space. I currently work with adults, working to build a secure therapeutic relationship with my patients, with whom traditional behavioral therapies have not been successful.
Additionally, I am currently at PhD Candidate at the Institute for Clinical Social Work. My dissertation focus is on attachment, eating disorders and relational psychoanalytic theories.
